Zinc Phosphating Process (POWDER COATING)

Zinc Phosphating Process (POWDER COATING)

Zink Phosphate is a chemical process which is used for improve the life of product which is power coated.
Zink Phosphate may be 3 tank process, 7 tank process and 11 tank process.
If you want to know the zink phosphating process then you should know about the materials where which will be used or installed. Most of the powder coated material application used for outside applications.
So Zinck phosphate process is the process of creating a layer of zink phosphate on material which is prevent to materials from rust .

3. DE-Rusting
4. Water Rinse-2
5. Surface Activation
6. Phosphate
7. Passivation

Control Parameter

1. DE-Greasing

*Materials:-RB-235 +DM Water
*Operation Parameters:-
    Conc      :  5-6%
    Temp      : 60-65° C
    Dip time  :10-15 min
    Pointage :50-60
As you know that degreasing process does remove the oil content from the product.

2. Water Rinse-1

When we dip the materials in Degreasing tank the chemicals of this tank is stick with the product so we dip the materials in Water Rinse-1 tank for cleaning the chemicals from the product.
*Materials:-  Water*Operation Parameters:-    pH Value      :-7.0-9.0    Temp            : Room Temp    Dip time       : 1 min

3. De-Rusting

After cleaning the materials in tank 2 materials which dip de rusting tank for removal the Rust from the product if materials or product is rusted.
*Materials:-TRR-311 + DM Water*Operation Parameters:-    Conc       :  20-25%    Temp       : Room Temp    Dip time  : 10-20 min    Pointage :20-24

4. Water Rinse-2

As we know the de rusting tank contains so chemical solution it also stick at product so only for cleaning purposes we dip the materials or product in water Rinse 2 tank.
*Materials:-Water
*Operation Parameters:-
 pH Value     : 5.0-7.0
 Temp           : Room Temp
 Dip time       : 1 min

5. Surface Activation

After cleaning the materials in tank 4 we dip the materials there is removal of week boundry layer also extra fine cleaning, reduction of metal oxide .
*Materials:-RBA-401 + DM Water
*Operation Parameters:-
 Conc     :  0.1-0.2%
 Temp     : Room Temp
 Dip time : 1-2 mint
 PH         : 9-10

6. Phosphate

*Materials:rustbond-523C+DM Water
*Operation Parameters:-
 Conc     :  4-5%
Temp     :  35-55° C
 Dip time: 10-12min
Pointage: TA :-  24-28
              FA :- 0.8-1.2
            TV :- 2-4

7. Passivation

*Materials: RB-667+DM Water
*Operation Parameters:-
Conc       :-  0.3-0.5%
Temp       :-  Room Temp
Dip time   : 1-2min
PH           : 4.5-5.5

  1. Stainless steel tanks are utilized in a wide number of applications and throughout a broad spectrum of industries. The food processing sector is a significant user of these. Indeed, Stainless steel process tank is used extensively in the food processing sector. This is because stainless steel is very simple to clean and maintain and is resistant to corrosion. It keeps food cleaner and safer, and it also extends the life of the equipment. A stainless steel tank typically costs about a dollar or more per gallon compared to steel or fibreglass tanks, which cost around 60 cents per gallon.
