Requirements of Quality control/Assurance,QA/QC

1. You should have a knowledge about the instrument.

 * Vernier caliper
 * Micrometer
 * Hight gauge
 * Measuring Tape

2. You should have command in Microsoft Excel.

 * How to make a Report with some data.
 * How to make any graph in excel sheet.
 * How do you setup a page in excel.

3. You should be a basic knowledge of conversion of measurement.

These are the some examples of conversion .

 * 1 millimeter = 1000 microns.
 * 1 inch = 2.54 cm
 * 1 cm  = 10 mm
Need to know by Quality Inspector or Quality Engineer or Quality Executive.

4. You should have a good knowledge of read drawing.

 * front view
 * Top view
 * first angle projection or third angle projection .
 * symbol of geometry like circle, cylinder,flatness,diameter etc.

5. You should have knowledge of inspection.

    Just an example.You will take a product like any piece of mild steel or stainless steel ,first of all you should read the drawing carefully and take a reading that are given into drawing   then further you would match the view  looking as like picture given in your drawing .then after you should match the all may be holes or squares, shape should be as it is given in drawing.Now you should measure given in all dimensions in your drawing like length, width, height ,diameter, thickness of sheet if  all dimensions which is given in drawing are under the given tolerances the your product is acceptable or if it does not meet the tolerances then it is reject .

Inspection by QA/QC

6. You should have good knowledge about materials and materials grade.

 Understand with an example.
 If we talk about a steel product.
 There is several grade in it like carbon steel ,mild steel, stainless steel as so on. These are the types of steel which uses in manufacturing.
If we talk about the mild steel. It has many many grade like low carbon ,high carbon steel , medium carbon steel . It depends on the percentage of carbon..

7. You should have a good knowledge of testing.

There is many types of testing required in the manufacturing and other industries.
 It may be destructive testing or non destructive testing, it depends on the industry.

8. You have a good communication skill in English.

Why we talking about the communication skill in Quality job requirements..
Let me tell you ,
If you are working in a supplier Quality department then may be your organization have a multi national work or supplier.  Then how would you communicate with them .you can't depend on your manager or your reporting person. If you works in supplier Quality then you would have need to communicate with them may be on daily basis or weekly or monthly depend on the industry then if you are not able to communicate in English so my suggestion is at-least learn conversational English.

9. Problem solving skills.

We talk about the problem solving and why is it need in Quality department.
So friends when we work in any industry as Quality department we faced many problems in day to day .
We could not depend only on supplier or relative person who is responsible for that particular problem.
May be that time their relative person is not available or You are the only senior at that particular time then you would be decision on particular problem with without stop any work .
In the manufacturing industry their have a lots of work like repair, rework,  scrape.
If you responsible for rework and work on any particular part or product then you would clear the maximum product OK.
