Panel Checkers Part Inspection In sheet metal (Automobile) by QA/QC

Panel checker is a prototype model of part where part will be fit or set means panel checker is as it is their application or fitment. 
Basically panel checker is a fixture so that we can cheak their holes ,holes position, slot and slot position, trim line and profile of part.
Now we will talk about the Automobile industry, most of the part in automobile is sheet metals .
Panel Checker is very accurate it's all shape, size ,position of holes or slot all made by using CMM.

* Layout or parts of Panel checker

There is some basic components or part of panel which complete to panel checker. 

1.Clamp for holding the pecs of sheet metal .
There is not a fix quantity of clamp in panel checker it may be 1 or more than 1 depends upon the size of  part .basically it uses for holding the pecs.
2. Pin for slot or holes.
There is a lots of pin attached with wires ,it uses for check of size of holes and slot.
3. Datum pin.
Datum pin is also a pin but is important than other pin due to also locking properties in it.
4.Reading printed on panel checker.
Two main things printed on panel checker, first trim line which important for part.

* Instrument 

You need only a taper scale and a plain scale for panel checker part inspection. 

* method of inspection and setting of part in panel checker .

Firstly we put the part on panel checker and set all datum pins and to set all clamps further will check visually our part has perfectly set on panel checker according their profile.

We will take the all data of trim line on every point which is printed on panel checker further will check our data will be within the tolerances if that is not within the tolerances then will further improve that particular point.
While other hand will check the gap of all points which is printed on panel between part and panel checker. Further will take the all data and data should be within the tolerances.
